Adult summer camps

Alumni camp

Many ELI alumni and their visually impaired friends across the country are integrated into regular classes in the education system throughout the year, and they face a problem with the arrival of summer: summer camps that provide activities in July for hundreds of thousands of children across Israel. , Elia established summer camps for its graduates aged 5-12 years.

The summer camps are intended for children with special needs, graduates of ELI.
In adult camps, naturally, the activity is slightly different from the daily activity that takes place in ELI.
In the special alumni camp, we place emphasis on learning and personal development, along with the development of social skills and joint group activities.

Along with special experiences such as engaging in extreme sports, going out to spend time in various facilities and more, the camp combines activities that are favorite of every child, which have added value for the blind child. Activity in the pool or at sea for fun, while improving movement and skills, and giving ELI graduates confidence in the water. The shared cooking experience allows children to have a controlled experience in the kitchen, and at the end – eating the produce. Less important – meeting children who face daily challenges and difficulties similar to their own.

The camp is held in July. Elia’s permanent professional staff is reinforced with manpower and volunteer youth, which allows maximum security when embarking on “adventures”.

Registration takes place every year in the first half of June. To register for the summer camp, you can contact Iris Younes, 03-9336840, extension 108
